What should I look for when purchasing a sliding tarp system?

At Aero-Kit Industries we understand that time is money, and we save you both. In selecting the correct sliding system for your transportation requirements, the most important aspect to consider is not "the initial cost" but rather "the cost to maintain" the system over the next several years. The foundation of any sliding system starts with the engineering behind the track and roller design. Choosing the correct system will result in long term savings of maintenance costs... Operational expenses will go down while profits go up.!

Are there any other advantages to purchasing a sliding tarp system?

We think so. Along with maximum load versatility, a sliding van system will reduce workers' compensation since it won't be necessary for drivers to tarp on top of loads, as well as providing long term driver retention.

The Classic

Now you know why a sliding system has a place in your company, let us show you why Aero-Kit's Conestoga 2000® is unparalleled in the industry and why your choice should be.

Split Systems are the most economical method of providing versatility to your drop deck trailer: With the tarpaulin system being split at the drop, the upper and lower system roll in opposite directions, opening up the middle areas of both decks for loading of specialty freight. Only the lower system has the ability to roll in either direction with in its own level.

Dual Systems provide the maximum versatility to your drop deck trailers by enabling the operator to move the entire system in either direction. The front system piggybacks on to the lower system allowing for full access to the upper deck of the trailer. The lower system is equipped with an auxiliary set of rollers mounted to intermediate car plates which allows the system to roll on to the front upper deck of the trailer.

A variety of options are available when ordering a Conestoga 2000® for B-Train trailer combinations. The most common system comes with aluminum bulkheads on the front of both the Lead and Pup Trailers making the Classic more traditional. The Classic is available with an optional front roll up flap on the pup trailer and bridge rails that allow the entire Lead or Pup system to transfer on to the opposite trailer. This allows for full loading access to either trailer eliminating possible damage to the system during loading.

Local deliveries and short hauls are ideal reasons to equip your truck body with the Conestoga 2000® Classic, providing maximum load protection and versatility.
